Names need to be found for the four new elements added to the Periodic Table (so-called, because new elements are added periodically). Some fans of Motörhead want one of them to be named “Lemmium”, as they are heavy metals, but that would still leave three others to be named. They have to be named after a mythological concept, a mineral, a place or country, a property or a scientist, and also have to maintain “historical and chemical consistency”, hence all the ones ending in “-ium”. Hopefully, one of the discoverers has a mother who is a scientist, so they could propose “Mymumium”. If there is a heated debate over the names, maybe one should be called “Pandemoniumium”? In some ways, it’s a shame about the restrictions. A tasty one could have been called “Yumium”.
