I’ve heard of Hollywood and Bollywood, but apparently there is now Nollywood too.
The Nigerian film industry is prolific, but if the name is an indication of their creativity, I don’t think I’ll be watching much. Can you work out the clever trick they’ve used to come up with the name?
What if financial centres of the world used the same trick to surf the waves of success created by The City? Would centres in Shanghai and Tokyo be more popular? I guess one of them might be.
One in Madrid might be mistaken for a current Hollywood blockbuster starring Ben Stiller. Not for long, though. Who would consider bankers to be out of touch with reality?
P.S. Borrowing from Silicon Valley, would the north-east of England, famous for producing female comedians, call itself Millican Alley?
